Goodness, I was BUSY yesterday!
We ordered a King sized mattress and boxed spring that I had to set up. I honestly did not know that boxed springs can be metal, I thought they were only wooden???Anyway, it took me 2+ hours just to put the boxed spring together because it came in about 100 pieces, no joke. But, it will probably last until Tim and I are in our eighties, so that’s good, right?
If this wasn’t enough, I had a fillings put in at the dentist yesterday morning, went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get a shower curtain, and masked Tim’s bathroom so I can paint it today. I didn’t stop moving from 7 am to about 7:30 pm, then worked on my mermaid painting.What have you all been doing? How is the August Food and Fit series going for you?
I missed my workout yesterday, which was just cardio (you can find more details on it here), BUT! I ran around town and ran up and down our three-story townhouse about a million times that I think I got my cardio in for the day, wouldn’t you say? So I’m going to count it.
And you should too! If you end up being busy physically but not actually “working out”, count it. If it causes you to sweat and makes you sleep well that night, I call it a workout. You do NOT have to be in fancy workout clothes in a fancy gym to have a good workout 😉
- berry protein smoothie bowl: 2 cups frozen berries, 1 block silken tofu (you can NOT taste it, I promise!), 2-3 tbsp pb2, and 1 tbsp cocoa powder blended.
- oatmeal creme pie =-0
- veggie and black bean enchiladas: 3 with homemade guacamole (1/2 avocado’s worth) with handful tortilla chips
- oatmeal creme pies: 2 =-0 =-0 I was still really hungry and just craved these things.
- Just running up and down our three-story townhouse like a million times, as mentioned above. I was seriously exhausted by the end of the day yesterday!!
I haven’t counted my macros for the past two days but am loosely monitoring it. I need to up my protein and get some more greens in. I have not been following my no-gluten challenge—it’s really hard!! Being plant based I usually get a lot of my carbs and protein in the form of wheat, and plus-it’s so convenient to make a sandwich or wrap most days. Oh well, it’s about trying, right?…..right????
